Crowne Plaza Hobart, an IHG Hotel

Very central location with direct access to shopping. Close walk to bus and tour terminals. Good views from our room (8th Floor) Hotels has windows at end of each corridor so you can get a look at all directions over Hobart which is great for orientation of the town. Traffic is very light in the town centre and Hotel has valet parking out the front on Liverpool Street. Staff seem well trained and enthusiastic. Core Restaurant was very good for dinner and also breakfast buffet. The pancake machine was very useful.

Breakfast was a little disappointing - many of the options had run out and they either didnt add something extra or nothing was available, had to ask for juice to be topped up after a number of employees just walked past looked and moved on - egg option was really good happy with chef to cook egg selection and come out in good time.

We booked a room with club lounge access which was definitely worth it . There was a good choice of wines and canapes in the evening with a lovely view over Hobart towards the harbour. All staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious with a great bathroom and comfortable bed. We could see Mount Wellington from the room. We did not eat any meals other than breakfast but we really enjoyed the choice of food in the mornings and the calm atmosphere in the lounge. We also loved the location of the hotel as we could easily walk to the harbour and other sites and there are lots of shops and restaurants close by.

The location of the Crowne is ideal for travelers looking to be accessible to all of the good things in life. Sight seeing, bus tours, restaurants, bars, shopping, and the bustle of city life. Great shopping in Hobart for all budgets, and I like to shop in local places to boost the economy while traveling, and Hobart did not disappoint. I ate at local restaurants and got amongst the vibe of this beautiful city. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly.

The staff were all super nice and thoughtful. The lady at the reception also gave up tips and shared her experience at Maria Island and Bruny Island (because due to time restraint we could only make to one island). The location was great - the hotel is located right above Myer. There is a Woolworths right downstairs (less than 5m walk) so it was super convenient to grab some water or snacks. There are many nice cafes nearby too. It was also very close to the Salamanca Markets.
